PRIMM, Nev. – Making its third straight trip to Nevada this spring, the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) men's golf team turned in three consistent scores at the Primm Valley Golf Club to take eight in the final team standings. The Eagles finished with a team score of 877 (+25), just four shots behind Victoria (BC) and The Master's for sixth place.
All five of the ERAU players in the tournament finished within four strokes of each other. Four of the five had low rounds of 72 on the par 71 course, with sophomore Trevor Lewis (Prescott, Ariz.) getting one of those 72s. His was in the final round and left him as the low scorer for Embry-Riddle, finishing with a 219 (+6) that put him tied for 23rd in the overall standings.
Just one shot behind Lewis was sophomore TJ Hicks (Denver, Colo.) who had a pair of 72s on his way to a 220 (+7) and a tie for 25th. Senior Alex Lasalarie (St. Pierre, France) had a first round 72 and was just a shot back of Hicks with his 221 (+8) and a tie for 27th. Rounding out the field, and just two more shots back, were senior Joseph Allen (Gig Harbor, Wash.) and junior Tyler Macpherson (Gilbert, Ariz.) who carded 223s (+10) to tie for 33rd.
