Sports Medicine

Welcome to the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Sports Medicine Department. We strive to provide top quality health care to our student-athletes by working in conjunction with the team physician, the wellness center, coaches, and athletic administration. The sports medicine staff takes pride in providing the safest possible conditions to excel on and off the field through an emphasis on educating student-athletes and coaches. We offer comprehensive athletic training coverage to all varsity sports. Care provided will include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of all injuries sustained during official practice or competition.

Our Sports Medicine staff is responsible for all matters related to the health and safety of the student-athlete. We use all resources available to assist our student-athletes in performing to their highest ability. This includes:

· Pre-participation physical exams

· Implementation of Emergency Action Plans

· Injury evaluation, management, and rehabilitation

· Referrals to specialists

· Provide emergency care for injuries

· Injury prevention programs

· Return to competition decisions

· Making sure both practice and conditioning activities are done in a safe environment

· Any other matter involving the health or safety of the student-athlete
