Embry-Riddle finished in 2nd place at the California Pacific Conference Championship this week hosted at Olivas Links Golf Club in Ventura, Calif. Alex Kam (Honolulu, Hawaii) was named to the All-Cal Pac team for his performance as he finished in 5th place.
Kam led the Eagles finishing +6 for the event. He finished with scores of 78, 71, and 73 for a three round total of 222.
Finishing in a tie for 7th place was Jordan Garypie (Chelsea, Mich.) and Tyler Macpherson (Gilbert, Ariz.). Garypie and Macpherson both finished with scores of 223. Garypie shot a 75 in the first round and followed it up with 74s in rounds two and three. Macpherson finished with 75, a 72, and a 76.
Robert Brackett (Kingman, Ariz.) was next as he finished in 8th place. Brackett had a three round score of 224 as he finished under par today with a 71.
Wesley Bothel (Bellingham, Wash.) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles. Bothel finished in a tie for 13th place.
Embry-Riddle will wait to see if they make the National Tournament with an at-large bid.
