Russell Pick

Following a national search, Russell Pick has been selected as the next Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Embry-Riddle.  Pick is joining ERAU from Dakota Wesleyan University where he has been serving as the Golf Director since 2021.

In Pick's second year as the leader of the Men's and Women's Golf Programs at ERAU, he was named the 2024-2025 GSAC Men's Golf Coach of the Year.  He coached the men to a 3rd place finish at the TMU Invite and a 4th place finish at the GSAC Championships.

In 2024-2025, Pick lead the ERAU Women to six team victories including the GSAC Conference Championship which they won by 38 strokes.  He guided freshman Bella Mantini to the 2025 GSAC Individual Championship.  Mantini was also named All-American and to the WGCA All-Freshman Team.  Pick coached another freshman, Olivia Zamarripa to the 2024-2025 GSAC Freshman of the Year.  Under Pick's guidance the women finished 15th at the 2025 NAIA National Championships and had six WGCA All-American Scholars in 2024-2025.

Pick's first year as Head Coach of the Eagles was quite successful.  He was the Women's Golf Cal Pac Coach of the Year after the Women won the Cal Pac Championship.  The Eagles placed 12 at the NAIA National Championships in May.  The Women won three different events during the 2023-2024 year.

Embry-Riddle Men's Golf won the ERAU Spring Invite and finished runners up at the Cal Pac Conference Championships.

In Pick’s first year as Director of Golf for the Tigers both men’s and women’s golf had stints of fantastic outings. The men’s team kicked off the 2021-22 season climbing three spots at the Mount Marty Invitational, bringing home some hardware and a first-place finish. Tiger men’s golf had another strong showing at the Augustana Invitational as they battled several top NCAA Division II teams; finishing tied for first with the Vikings of Augustana. After wrapping up the conference championships early due to inclement weather, DWU tallied one All-GPAC golfer in Cade Carpenter after he finished in a three-way tie for tenth place.

Tiger women’s golf also had a strong showing in the 2021-22 season posting seven top-three finishes during the season. The ladies kicked off the year with a second-place finish at the Mount Marty Invitational before taking third place in the next two outings. The lady Tigers came out in the spring season picking up a win at the Moundbuilder Spring Invitational thanks to a 22-stroke spread.
