Personal:

  • Anything interesting you'd like to share: "Attaining a golf scholarship to Embry Riddle has been my greatest accomplishment. Since my freshman year I have been working to improve my game, staying at the course for hours, putting till my hands were bleeding and my back was so sore I could hardly stand up straight, playing round after round until I was too tired I could hardly carry my golf bag. It has not been easy, but I did not expect it to be all laid out. Becoming a high school athlete taught me dedication, perseverance, patience and acceptance, not only of my golf game, but of myself. As a freshman and sophomore, I would get so frustrated if I did not hit every shot perfect or if my score did not reflect how hard I was working. However, just as in life, nothing goes perfect, it ebbs and flows and when it's going well you have to ride! it as long as you can and when there is a current pulling you back you have to fight twice as hard to make sure it does not pull you down. This golf scholarship is recognition for my hard work and give me the ability to do what I love at college. Also I have a very athletic and bubbling younger sister named Emma, who I love and is my best friend. She has stood by me through all of my successes and challenges. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her constructive criticism and her love"
  • I chose to attend ERAU because: "Flying has been a dream of mine since an early age, so I have chosen a career path that will allow me to pursue that goal. A degree in Aeronautical Science with a commercial piloting emphasis will give me the ability to travel and see all the wonders the world has to offer. Embry Riddle is second to none when it comes to providing students with the best opportunities to succeed and excel. Kim Haddow was another major factor when I was deciding what college I wanted to attend. Golf is my life and Mrs. Haddow has shown over and over how successful her team is and how much she cares for every one of her players. Her love for the team is inspiring and I am excited to play for her!"
