KC Rock has been guiding the Embry-Riddle wrestling program since 2012. Over his nine previous seasons he has guided the Eagles to a program that is consistenlty ranked among the top-25 in the nation as well as one that ranks among the top academic performing squads in the country winning the NWCA Academic National Championship in 2020. Rock has led Embry-Riddle at the NAIA National Championships were his teams have earned 17 All-America titles. In the classroom his wrestlers have been recognized numerous times with NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards. In 2018-19 Rock led the Eagles to their first ever Cascade Collegiate Conference team championship before helping four Eagles to All-America status.
Before taking over at Embry-Riddle in 2012 Rock spent six seasons on the staff at Utah Valley State University in Orem, Utah. He helped lead the Wolverines to their most successful season ever, when they broke a school record with wins in a season, finishing 2008-09 with an 11-3 record. UVU also posted a 4-1 record in the WWC, which was good enough for a second place finish in conference. While at Utah Valley he also guided Ben Kjar to a 4th-place finish, and All-America recognition.
Prior to joining the staff at Utah Valley, Rock spent four seasons as an assistant at the University of Wyoming, and two seasons coaching at his alma-mater, Boise State. While at Boise State, Rock helped guide the Broncos to a Pac-10 Championship in 2002, and a 19th place finish at the NCAA Tournament, while guiding 125 lb Ben VomBaur to All-America honors
While a wrestler at Boise State, Rock was a two-time National Qualifier. He was the Pac-10 Champion at 125-pounds, and was named the Pac-10 Tournament's Most Outstanding wrestler in 2000, after pinning all four of his opponents. Prior to his time at Boise State, Coach Rock was an All-American at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.
Coach Rock earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from Boise State in 2000. He and his wife, Darelyn, have four children; Keller, Emery, Amelia and Reese.
