Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (AZ)

Monica Surguine was named the Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer in August 2022. Previously, Surguine was hired by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as the assistant athletic trainer from the Fall of 2014 until the Summer of 2022. Surguine started her career at the University of Washington, in Seattle, as a certified intern with Men’s and Women’s rowing teams. In 2005 she then moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona to be the head athletic trainer at Bradshaw Mountain High School. Surguine most recently worked with ATI Physical Therapy, in Wilmington, Delaware as an outreach athletic trainer from 2007-2014. In her time as an outreach athletic trainer, she had responsibilities that included working at the high school and college level, most recently for Goldey-Beacom College, a NCAA Division II College as the head athletic trainer.

Surguine is no stranger to Arizona as she grew up in Yuma, Arizona. She attended Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona and completed her degree with a B.S. in Athletic Training at Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2004.
