PRESCOTT- This upcoming weekend, the Embry-RiddleWomen's Volleyball team will compete in their final home games of the season. This season is already historic for the Eagles, as they already have more wins than any previous team, earning them votes on the NAIA Coaches Top 25 poll for the first time ever.
This Friday, ERAU will play La Sierra University at 2:00 PMin the Eagle Gym. Earlier this season, ERAU played one of the their toughest games against LSU, eeking out a 3-2 win with an 18-16 win in the fifth set. LSU is currently second in the Cal Pac Conference with a conference record of 7-3, their conference losses coming from ERAU and University of Antelope Valley. LSU will definitely be looking for revenge from their previous loss to the Eagles, and will be looking to solidify their place high in the Cal Pac rankings. La Sierra currently holds the conference season win record with 22 and The Eagles look to beat that.
Senior Day will be this Saturday, when The Eagles faceProvidence Christian College at 3:30 PM.Previously this season, ERAU took down the Sea Beggars 3-1. PCC is currently 8-15 overall, with a 3-6 conference record, placing them at 7 of 8 in the Ca lPac standings. Their only conference victories have come over 8th place Simpson University and Benedictine University at Mesa. Senior Day will honor the four seniors on the volleyball team: Leah De Laurell, Kaitlin Shroll, Megan Riley, and Katie Powell. Be sure to come out for the last game of the regular season and honor the contributions to this historic team these seniors have made!
