Riddle Hands Out 6-0 Loss To Seabeggars.

PASADENA, Calif. – With only one game remaining in the regular season, (8) Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) women's soccer (14-2, 9-0) has clinched the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the California Pacific Conference tournament after taking down Providence Christian College (2-4, 4-8) 6-0.

It was all ERAU from the opening whistle as they bombarded the Seabeggars half of the field with shot after shot. In the first half alone the Eagles would go on to have 24 shots compared to PCC's one. Although they had all of these shots, only one found the back of the net. With only two minutes in the half remaining Ashley Askevold (FR/Lake Stevens, Wash.) would play a cross into Megan Currier (JR/Anchorage, Alaska) who would go on to convert the only goal scored for the Eagles in the first half.

A slightly different second half formed as the Eagles started to capitalize on their chances. Just eight minutes into the half Parker Lee (JR/Kennewick, Wash.) would make it 2-0 as she got on the end of a Claire Cashmore (SO/Flagstaff, Ariz.) cross. Lee would assist on the next goal by leading Madalyn Markham (SR/Prescott, Ariz.) through the defenders where she would then beat the keeper. ERAU would score only four minutes later as Sierra Vicente (FR/Las Vegas, Nev.) would hit a rocket by the Seabeggars keeper off an assist from Holly Ross (SR/Oro Valley, Ariz.). Not to be forgotten Cal Pac points leader Riley Martinson (SO/Deer Park, Wash.) would add an assist to her total when she set up Currier again just 40 seconds after Vicente's goal. ERAU would shut it down and leave Pasadena with a 6-0 victory.

ERAU will not be in action for another two weeks (11/3), when they will take on Benedictine University (7-5, 9-1) in what could be a preview of the conference championship match.
