Clark & Robalin lead charge to notch first Cal Pac win

PRESCOTT, Ariz. – (17) Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) volleyball got conference play started on the right foot as they breezed to a straight set victory over La Sierra University; 25-14, 25-15, 25-21. It was another day in the office as the Eagles, 13-3 (1-0), handed LSU, 3-9 (0-1), their first loss in California Pacific Conference play.

ERAU was firing on all cylinders early on in the match as they had 15 kills in the first set, matching that with an astounding .278 hitting percentage. Caylee Robalin (SO/El Paso, Texas) and Erin Clark (SO/Phoenix, Ariz.) got the barrage started early and never looked back, both finished with at least 11 kills. Jalin Yoder (SR/Fountain Hills, Ariz.) and Audrey Baldwin (JR/Santa Barbara, Calif.) held it down on defense by picking up 10 digs apiece. Baldwin, ended the match with a team high 30 assists which helped Sharik Joseph (SO/San Diego, Calif.) pile up a .429 hitting percentage. ERAU ended the match with another hitting percentage of .200+ which makes them 13-0 when they do so.

For the Eagles it will be another Cal Pac matchup tomorrow (9/15) as they face off against Marymount California University at 2:00 p.m. here in Prescott.
