Another Shutout Yet Eagles Tie COI

CALDWELL, Idaho – In what was their final match of their Pacific Northwest road trip, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University went to two overtimes with the College of Idaho before the match ended in a scoreless tie.

ERAU (1-1-2) fought hard against the Yotes (0-0-1) who forced the Eagles to fight for every chance they created. The first half only saw three shots for the Eagles while COI put up six shots. The Yotes also were able to make Caitlyn Aaron (SR/Flower Mound, Texas) save three shots in the period before it ended.

The second half looked a little different as the Eagles started peppering COI with shots. The Eagles managed nine on the Yotes in the half but could not get a single one past the net minder. They were able to put three on frame but all were for not. And the match went to overtime.

In the first overtime period the Eagles and the Yotes only combined for five total shots. Both defenses remained stout and the same totals were reached in the second overtime yet once again no one scored.

Aaron will add to her total of career shutouts jumping to 26 in her impressive career. The Eagles have remained goalless in the last three matches yet have managed to get two results in the contests.

ERAU will head down the I-17 to take on the Ottawa Spirit on Thursday for their only match of the week.
