Box Score Prescott, Ariz. – Six different players scored and the Embry-Riddle defense allowed just two shots on goal as the Eagles defeated Sierra Nevada, 6-0, in women's soccer. Sierra Vicente (SR/Las Vegas, Nev.) had a goal and three assists for a five-point day for the No. 23 Eagles.
It took just five minutes for ERAU to get on the board when Vicente finished off a pass from Ray Yoshioka for a quick 1-0 lead. Four minutes later Sierra Nevada hit the crossbar with a shot, and it proved to be the only look the Eagles would get at the Embry-Riddle goal. In the 27th minute Vicente sent one across to Lauren Foster (SR/Chino Valley, Ariz.) who made it 2-0 with her shot. Four minutes later the Eagles were on the board again when Jennifer Inions (SR/Prosser, Wash.) scored off an assist by Katelyn Kelch (FR/Tucson, Ariz.).
Five minutes into the second half ERAU made it 4-0 when Vicente picked up her second assist on the day on a goal from Courtney Lohmeier (SO/Albuquerque, N.M.). Eight minutes later the lead increased to 5-0 when Katy Hyde (JR/Denton, Texas) notched her sixth of the year from Vicente's third assist. Sierra Nevada did come back to generate a couple of shots on goal, but Annabelle Ruckle (FR/Phoenix, Ariz.) stopped both to keep the Eagles comfortably ahead. Embry-Riddle closed out the scoring when Alexandra Houston (FR/Las Vegas, Nev.) found Maggi McElrath (SR/Bend, Ore.), who booted it in to complete the scoring.
