GLENDALE, ARIZ. – The first game in 19 months was an excellent opportunity for the Embry-Riddle men's basketball team, as the Eagles got to face a top NAIA team on the road. The Eagles were not able to find its groove on Friday night, losing 124-52 to the fifth-ranked Arizona Christian Firestorm.

The Firestorm went on its first of many runs just five minutes into the game, putting up a 14-0 stretch that gave it an early 23-4 lead. While the Eagles fought hard throughout the first 20 minutes, they went to the locker room at halftime trailing big.

Trevor Weir led the way scoring for the Eagles, scoring 13 points. He shot well from the field as well, going 6-11 in 25 minutes.

Jack Berg had an efficient night shooting, scoring 9 points on 3-3 shooting (all three-point attempts) in 14 minutes. Every player to check in for the Eagles grabbed a rebound, and seven different players had multiple boards.

ERAU will get a chance to wash that game away quickly, getting back on the court Saturday afternoon in its final game at the ACU Fultz Classic. Tip-off against SAGU American-Indian College in Glendale is scheduled for 2 p.m.
