Box Score MESA, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle volleyball team traveled for its first true road match in the state of Arizona this season, facing off with conference foe Benedictine Mesa. The Eagles fought hard for a second straight night, but fell to the Redhawks to close the first half of the conference season.
Adiva Joseph led the Eagles in kills, posing 11 and a .250 hitting percentage. It is the second straight night that the grad student has led ERAU in kills, and was one of seven players to record a kill for Embry-Riddle on Saturday night.
Juliette van den Herik had an efficient night, having five kills on just 13 attacks. van den Herik did not commit an error and had a .385 hitting percentage.
Katie Rolle had 26 assists to go along with nine digs. Lily Figgins had 16 digs, one of just two players in the match to have more than 10.
The Eagles will have next week off before starting the second half of its conference schedule. Embry-Riddle will head to Irvine, Calif. for a match against Cal Pac-leading Westcliff on October 13.
