Box Score IRWINDALE, CALIF. – It was another exceptional offensive day for the Embry-Riddle men's soccer team, as they scored nine goals in a victory at Providence Christian. The Eagles have now scored 33 goals in its conference games, and are now 8-0-0 in the Cal Pac.
Paul Fulop had a huge offensive day, scoring a hat trick and adding a pair of assists. Fulop scored twice in the first half before picking up his third of the afternoon in the 82nd minute.
Reigning Cal Pac Offensive Player of the Week Lucas Garcia and Alex Frances each scored two apiece as well. Garcia scored the second goal of the contest just 20 seconds after Aviad Golan got the Eagles on the board during the 7th minute, and Frances posted his pair of tallies in the second half.
The Eagles scored its first five goals of the game in a 9:45 stretch between the 7th and 16th minutes. Garcia scored both of his goals in that stretch, and Kristian Bielicki also got on the board in the 14th minute.
Cameron Kovats and Djougher Oliveira were excellent playmakers all throughout Saturday as well, each posting a pair of assists. Oliveira extended his conference-leading assists total to nine on the season, and Kovats got rewarded for all of the great plays he had been making in the previous weeks.
The Eagles had complete control of the contest for all 90 minutes, firing 25 shots (16 on goal) while taking advantage of its large chunk of possession. Daniele Cerbini need to make just one save for his third win of the season.
Embry-Riddle will have its biggest road trip of the season next weekend to Northern California as they have a chance to clinch a Cal Pac Tournament bid. The Eagles will start that road trip at Cal Maritime, with kickoff in Vallejo, Calif. scheduled for 5 p.m.
