Box Score RIVERSIDE, CALIF. – It took until the second half to get on the board, but the Embry-Riddle women's soccer team looked excellent again in a 2-0 win over UC Merced on Thursday night. The Eagles have now advanced to the Cal Pac Tournament Final for the second consecutive season.
All-Cal Pac Honorable Mention Sierra Vicente finally broke the scoreless tie in the 68th minute, as she scored to get the Eagles a lead. It did not take long for ERAU to strike again, as Katy Hyde scored in the 73rd minute to get Embry-Riddle to the final result.
Embry-Riddle fired the ball all night, finishing with 14 shots, 10 of those hitting the target. The Eagles were also able to get a pair of corner kicks in each half, and had five shots on target in each half as well.
Annabelle Ruckle made two saves to pick up her 11th solo shutout of the season. Ruckle continues her impressive season, as she and the Eagles have allowed just one goal during the 17-game unbeaten streak.
The Eagles will now have Friday off before playing in the Cal Pac Tournament Final on Saturday. Kickoff from La Sierra University in Riverside, Calif. is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. AZT
