SAN MARCOS, CALIF. – The Embry-Riddle women's volleyball team entered Thursday afternoon looking to accomplish two things – a its second win over Park-Gilbert in seven days and to continue its season into Friday. Despite a valiant effort, the Eagles lost in four sets to the Buccaneers in the opening match of the Cal Pac Tournament.

The Eagles took the third set, and used an excellent .385 hitting percentage to keep the match alive after falling behind 2-0. ERAU made just three attack errors during the set, and finished 13 of its 26 attack attempts with kills.

Adiva Joseph led the way for the Eagles offensively, finishing with a team-high 16 kills. Joseph also had a .250 attack percentage, and also had a pair of block assists defensively.

Katie Rolle, who earned Cal Pac Setter of the Year on Wednesday, dished out 28 assists in San Marcos. Rolle also had six kills with a .556 attack percentage, as well as five block assists.

Embry-Riddle will finish the season with a 16-13 record, winning eight of its last 11 games to close out the year. For the latest news on the women's volleyball team, stay tuned to eraueagles.com.
