Box Score MESA, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle volleyball team took advantage of mistakes from Park-Gilbert on Thursday night, and turned it into the team's seventh straight victory. The Eagles had 16 service aces on the night, and needed just 35 kills in the final three sets to take a four-set win back to Prescott.
Emma Barber managed to get five of the Embry-Riddle service aces, and also had 12 kills to lead the team. Barber also needed just 25 attacks to reach that mark, and posted a .360 hitting percentage.
Lily Figgins had four service aces, and was the defensive anchor once again as she finished with a team-high 14 digs. Alexis Creager had three service aces, plus Katie Rolle and Erika Herr each had two.
Rolle was passing well again on Thursday, finishing with 35 assists to go along with seven kills. It is the fifth consecutive game that Rolle has posted 33 or more assists, and has dished out at least 20 assists in each of the last seven contests.
Dalia Haase continued her excellent sophomore season, as she finished with 11 kills and a .409 attack percentage. Haase had just two attack errors, and picked up her 11 kills on 22 attacks.
Embry-Riddle will wrap up its regular season on Friday, as they celebrate the seniors while hosting Benedictine Mesa. The senior night ceremonies are scheduled for 6 p.m., with first serve to follow after.
