Box Score PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The Cal Pac's hottest team going into Friday wrapped up its regular season inside Eagle Gym, as the Embry-Riddle volleyball squad looked to grab more momentum heading into the Cal Pac Tournament. While the Eagles would ultimately fall to the team at the Cal Pac standings, Benedictine Mesa, ERAU had a lot of positives in a five-set defeat that ended a seven-game win streak.
After dropping the first set, the Eagles came out and grabbed the first four points of the second set. After BenU Mesa tied it at four, ERAU took six of the next seven points to build a 10-5 lead. Embry-Riddle eventually built a ten point lead that it would never relinquish as it tied the match.
ERAU would win the third set as well, but the Redhawks grabbed momentum at the end that helped them win the fourth set. Each team had an opportunity to win the fifth frame, but eventually the Redhawks took home the match on Friday.
Embry-Riddle was fantastic at the net defensively, racking up 30 block assists for 15 total blocks. Dalia Haase led the match with 10 block assists, and nearly had a double-double, finishing with nine kills.
Katie Rolle was everywhere on Friday, as she finished with seven block assists and six kills. Rolle was still running the offense as well, and had 34 assists in the match.
