Following its eighth consecutive Cal Pac Championship appearance, the Embry-Riddle women's golf team starts the year at 13th in the first poll of the 2022 season. The Eagles are the only team in the Cal Pac to be ranked or receive votes.
The Eagles are returning a great lineup once again, featuring all golfer who played in at least one tournament during the 2021-2022 season. This includes NAIA Third Team NAIA All-American Hailey Stevenson, who finished every event prior to the national championship in the top-20 last season.
Embry-Riddle is the highest-ranked American team on the West Coast, and only four total from the west earned a spot in the poll. Defending national champion British Columbia claimed the top spot.
Poll Methodology
• The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
• Each conference is represented by one rater.
• The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
• The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
• Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered "receiving votes.
