Box Score BELLEVUE, NEB. – The second day of the GoSarpy.com Labor Day Classic did not treat the Embry-Riddle volleyball team well, as the Eagles dropped a straight-sets match to Avila on Friday morning. ERAU hit well enough, but Avila was more efficient with its offensive opportunities and pulled away.
Embry-Riddle had 12 kills in each set on Friday, and four different players had at least seven kills. Dalia Haase led the way with eight, while Kelly Hansen, Adiva Joseph and Emma Barber each had seven.
Katie Rolle had 28 assists on Friday, and also pitched in defensively with 11 digs. That was tied for the team lead in the match, as Erika Herr also had 11 digs.
The Eagles will get back on the court tomorrow with a pair of matches, starting with a matchup against #14 Central Methodist. First serve is scheduled for 9 a.m. AZ Time.
