Box Score ALISO VIEJO, CALIF. – For the seventh consecutive game, the No. 18 Embry-Riddle women's soccer team shut out its opponent, as it started this week's road trip with a 6-0 victory over Soka. After a pair of goals in the first half, the Eagles blew the contest open with four tallies in the second half to pull away.
Ellie Neal struck from distance once again, scoring her third goal of the season with a screamer to the back post in the 17th minute. In the 33rd minute, Kylee Bennet finished an excellent feed from Kari Kasun to give ERAU a 2-0 lead.
Haley Matthews got in on the offensive action as well, burying a free kick at the 49:13 mark for the Eagles' third goal of the match. Just 4:28 later, Sierra Vicente scored on a rebound to give ERAU the 4-0 lead.
Rae Yoshioka has been filling the stat sheet over the last four games, and continued to do so on Thursday. Yoshioka scored on a great feed from Aubrie Labno in the 73rd minute, then finished a beautiful solo effort in the a little under six minutes later.
It was another day of domination in the shot department for Embry-Riddle, as the Eagles had a 23-5 advantage. Embry-Riddle also had the shot on goal advantage as well, getting 15 shots on target to the Lions' three.
The Embry-Riddle shutout streak now sits at 657:36, and each goaltender on the roster got 45 minutes on Thursday. Reigning Cal Pac Defender of the Week Annabelle Ruckle made two saves in the first half, and Lucy Hayward made a stop in the second half.
The Eagles will wrap up its road trip with a contest against Saint Katherine on Saturday evening. Kickoff from Pine Park in Carlsbad, Calf. is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
