Box Score PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – After falling behind big, the Embry-Riddle men's basketball team put in a solid effort during the second half while trying to cut into the deficit. The Eagles cut what was once a 26-point deficit down to 13, but were unable to complete a comeback in its loss to Westcliff on Sunday.
Dennis Pomazanov had another double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. The sophomore pulled down 10 boards on the defensive end, and also dished out a trio of assists.
Jake Klingler continues to build his offensive game, scoring 13 points on 50% shooting. Klingler knocked down three of his six attempts from three-point range and was also perfect from the free throw line.
The Eagles shared the ball well as a unit, getting assists on all but five of its made shots. Christmas Togiai, Jr. led ERAU with five, and four different Eagles had at least three assists.
Embry-Riddle will get back on the road for the first time since the first weekend of December, travelling to Southern California to open the second half of conference play. The Eagles will start the trip at La Sierra on Friday, January 20th, with tipoff scheduled for 3 p.m. AZT/2 p.m. PST.
