Box Score Riverside, Calif. – Embry-Riddle Men's soccer used a dominate first half performance as they cruised to a 4-0 win over La Sierra University.
Just 39 seconds into the game, Yoav Rapoport (Tel Sharar, Israel) ran onto a ball down the left side of the field. He crossed the ball across the box that Cameron Kovats (Issaquah, Wash.) ran onto and flicked into the goal to put ERAU up 1-0. Lucas Garcia (Barcelona, Spain) scored the second goal in the 18th minute as he headed in a cross from Brandon Pulido-Santala (Westminster, Colo.). In the 39th minute, Alex Frances (Valencia, Spain) scored on a penalty kick and the Eagles went into halftime up 3-0.
Embry-Riddle continued to dominate in the second half, but couldn't find the back of the net until Bryan Castellanos (Albuquerque, N.M.) scored in the 90th minute.
In goal for ERAU, Elias Ammon (Bremen, Germany) made one first have save. Daniele Cerbini (Perugia, Italy) played the second half and didn't have to make a save.
Embry-Riddle plays their last home game of the season on Saturday as the Lions from Soka come to Prescott. Kick-off is set for 3:30pm.
