Box Score Lucas Garcia (Barcelona, Spain) scored two goals as he led the Eagles to a 4-0 win over Soka University.
Embry-Riddle dominated the first half of the game as they took 15 shots and didn't give up any to the Lions. ERAU held possession and knocked the ball around but were unable to score until the 44th minute. Just before the first half ended, Garcia was awarded a free kick at the top of the box. The wall blocked his first shot, however they were unable to block the follow up as Garcia put the Eagles up 1-0 as the teams headed into the break.
In the second half, Embry-Riddle continued to dominate, as they scored three more goals. In the 55th minute, it was Garcia who scored again, this time with an assist from Josh McBeth (Liverpool, England). Not even a minute later, Avaid Golan (Tel Aviv, Israel) found Brandon Pulido-Santala (Westminster, Colo.) across the box. Pulido-Santala one touched the ball into the net to put the Eagles up 3-0. Golan then finished off the scoring for ERAU when he put one away himself in the 63rd minute.
In goal for Embry-Riddle Elias Ammon (Bremen, Germany) made three saves as he earned the shutout.
ERAU plays again on Thursday in the Stadium Field at Legacy Sports Park in Mesa as the Eagles take on the Buccaneers of Park-Gilbert.
