Box Score A packed Bobcat stadium sparked energy in the UC Merced women's soccer team who were able to score two first-half goals on the Embry-Riddle Eagles.
A Jamie Black (Tucson, Ariz.) header goal four minutes into the second half off of a service from Jamie Brandon (Phoenix, Ariz.) shifted the momentum in the Eagles' favor. For the remainder of the game, the Eagles were knocking on the door but were ultimately unable to find the back of the net. ERAU outshot Merced 12-10, and had four corners compared to Merced's one.
With their undefeated conference season, ERAU had already secured their bid to the NAIA national tournament. Their dynasty in the California Pacific Conference concluded with eight regular season championships and five conference tournament championships. Embry-Riddle has been a part of either the regular season or tournament title every year since 2015.
The Eagles will wait to see where and who their next game is against until the NAIA selection show which happens on Monday, November 13th at 11:00am MST.
