Box Score Embry-Riddle Women's Volleyball won in four sets tonight over Westcliff University as the Eagles won 3-1 to move onto the Cal Pac Semifinals.
ERAU freshman Alexsandra Rodriguez (Phoenix, Ariz.) led the team with 17 kills and Dalia Haase (Tucson, Ariz.) added 14.
In the first set, the Eagles hit .257 and they held the Warriors to .189 on their way to a 25-18 win. ERAU started off with three kills as they got one each from Rodriguez, Haase, and Katie Rolle (Missoula, Mont.). Embry-Riddle never let Westcliff get within two points and even led by as many as eight on their way to the set one win.
ERAU raced out to a lead in the second set as well, but the Warriors were able to keep it a little bit closer until Embry-Riddle used two different 3-1 runs to take a 14-9 lead. The Eagles won the second set 25-18.
In the third set, Westcliff came out swinging as they took the early lead. Embry-Riddle was able to tie the score at 19-19, but the Warriors scored the next six points as they won the set 25-19.
ERAU led big from early on in the fourth set as Rolle had two service aces and spread the ball around for the Eagle offense. Embry-Riddle won the final set of the night 25-15.
Rolle finished the night with 48 assists, 6 kills, 5 service aces and 20 digs for the Eagles. Lily Figgins (St. Charles, Mo.) had 17 digs and Hannah Clear (Fort Worth, Texas) added four block assists and one solo block to lead the ERAU defense.
Embry-Riddle will move onto the semifinals where they will play the Redhawks of Benedictine Mesa at 4pm on Friday, November 10th.
