Box Score IRVINE, CALIF. – The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team started the final road trip of the season at Westcliff on Thursday night, and the two teams played a tight first half. The Warriors entered the second half up three, and it was a three-point game with seven minutes to go, but used a 13-0 run down to stretch to take the win.
Conner Verdugo led the Eagles in scoring, posting 15 points and shooting 5-of-7. Conner Verdugo also had three assists, three rebounds and a steal in a solid all around effort.
Dennis Pomazanov finished one rebound shy of a double-double, scoring 13 points to go along with nine rebounds. Pomazanov was 6-of-11 from the floor and was perfect from the free throw line.
Jake Klinger shot 50% from the field, and also made four of his eight three point attempts on Thursday. Klingler was an effective shooter for the Eagles, and made the second-most ERAU field goals for 14 points.
Embry-Riddle will wrap up its regular season tomorrow night when they visit Saint Katherine in San Marco, Calif. Tipoff from the USK Sports Complex is set for 8:30 p.m. AZT/7:30 p.m. PST on Friday.
