PRIMM, Nev. – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) women's golf team ventured to the state line between Nevada and California and took part in The Primm Battle tournament. The Eagles turned in some consistent scores and came away with a team total of 620 (+52) to finish sixth overall. ERAU was just four shots out of third place at the event.
Sophomore Libby Axen (Tucson, Ariz.) bounced back from a first round 81 to shoot a 72 on the final day, the best score by an Eagle at the tournament. She finished at 153 (+11) to tie for 12th overall. Matching her with the 153 was sophomore Kaetlin Halseth (Kingwood, Texas) who had rounds of 75 and 78.
Just two shots back of that pair was junior Hailey Stevenson (Las Vegas, Nev.) whose 155 (+13) had her in 17th-place. Senior Hannah Spiller (Thatcher, Ariz.) completed the scoring for ERAU, shooting back—to-back 80s for a 160 (+18) that placed her tied for 24th in the field.
