HENDERSON, Nev. – A strong team effort led to a top-three finish for the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) women's golf team at the RMC Intercollegiate held at the Reflection Bay Golf Club. The Eagles tied for third overall with a team score of 972 (+108), with junior Maisy Alsen (Gilbert, Ariz.) leading the way for ERAU with a 233 (+17).
Alsen, who had the low score for Embry-Riddle in the first two rounds with a 74 and 78, finished in sixth overall for the Eagles with her final tally. Also placing in the top-10 was junior Hailey Stevenson (Las Vegas, Nev.) who had a team low round on the final day of 78, finishing tied for 10th overall with a 237 (+21).
Tying for 20th overall was sophomore Libby Axen (Tucson, Ariz.) who had her best round of the tournament today, carding an 80 that gave her a tournament total of 251 (+35). Sophomore Kaetlin Halseth (Kingwood, Texas) shot an opening round of 78, one of five sub-80 rounds the Eagles posted, and finished tied for 27th with a 257 (+41). Senior Hannah Spiller (Thatcher, Ariz.) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles with a 265 (+49) that placed her tied for 37th overall.
