Silvis, Ill. - Embry-Riddle Women's Golf climbed the leaderboard each day and finished in 6th place at the 28th annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. The Eagles finished with their second best score of the event, a 309.
Leading the Eagles was Kaetlin Halseth (Kingwood, Texas) as she finished the final 18 holes at +2 for a 73. Halseth finished in a tie for 14th place, which automatically qualifies her for the 2024 NAIA Championships. Hailey Stevenson (Las Vegas, Nev.) finished second for ERAU in a tie for 19th place overall. The third finisher for Embry-Riddle was Junior, Maisy Alsen (Gilbert, Ariz.). Alsen finished the tournament +30 which was good enough for 31st place. Libby Axen (Tucson, Ariz.) was next for the Eagles as she finished the four day event in 48th place at +37. Finishing off the scoring for ERAU was Hannah Spiller (Thatcher, Ariz.) who finished the tournament with her best score, a 79. Overall, she finished in 77th place as she shot a +49.
This is the second best finish for the Eagles, as in 2017 the ladies finished in 2nd place. Embry-Riddle will now enter the offseason and look to improve on this finish for next year as most of their roster returns.
