Box Score Prescott, Ariz. - Last season's Cal Pac Offensive Player of the Year, Lucas Garcia (Barcelona, Spain) started the 2023 season just how he left off last season. Garcia scored the opening goal and added three assists for the Eagles in route to their 6-0 win tonight over the University of Providence.
The Eagles controlled the possession for the majority of the game as they took 12 shots on goal compared to the Argos one. In the first half, Garcia got things rolling for ERAU with his goal in the 27th minute which was assisted by Heeirthan Shanthan (Haslum, Norway). Paul Fulop (Chicago, Ill.) scored the next two goals for Embry-Riddle in the 35th and 38th minutes. Embry-Riddle took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
After the break, it continued to be all ERAU as they added goals in the 65th minute by Emanuele Bossi (Gallarate, Italy) and Brandon Pulido-Santala (Westminster, Colorado). For Bossi and Pulido-Santala, it was their first career goals as Eagles. The scoring for ERAU finished with an own goal by the Argos.
Embry-Riddle plays again next on Tuesday as they travel down to Phoenix to take on the Firestorm of Arizona Christian at 8pm.
