Box Score Rae Yoshioka (Pearl City, Hawaii) scored the game-winning goal for Embry-Riddle in the 79th minute. After Grace Martinson (Deer Park, Wash.) was fouled, Yoshioka stepped up to take the free kick from just outside the 18 yard box and buried it in the back of the net.
In the first half, Embry-Riddle had plenty of opportunities but could not find the back of the net. The Eagles held a 9-1 shot advantage going into halftime. In the second half, ERAU continued to have chances to score as Haley Harris (Tucson, Ariz.) and Aubrie Labno (Anthem, Arizona) each had five shots on the night.
Embry-Riddles backline was fantastic tonight as they only gave up one shot on goal and three shots total in the game compared to the 27 shots with the Eagles had tonight.
ERAU travels to Boise this week where they will take on Southern Oregon on Thursday before facing College of Idaho on Saturday morning.
