Box Score Prescott, Ariz. - Embry-Riddle held their opponent to zero shots on goal for the second game in a row and ended up with a 6-0 win this afternoon.
Sophia Bohon (Phoenix, Ariz.) scored her first collegiate goal in the 35th minute to get the Eagles going as Adelie Zechmann (Chandler, Ariz.) played her the ball. That would be the only goal ERAU scored in the half as the halftime score was 1-0.
To start the second half Aryanna Sanchez (Tucson, Ariz.) collected the ball towards midfield and drove towards goal where she played Madeline Orges (Sandy, Utah) in and Orges was able to put the ball into the back of the net to make the score 2-0 in favor of Embry-Riddle. Jamie Black (Tucson, Ariz.) then scored for the third game in a row off of a great free kick by Ellie Neal (Gilbert, Ariz.) from near the half. Kylee Bennett made it 4-0 for ERAU in the 71st minute. After Sanchez was fouled near the half, Neal played another wonderful ball in and Aubrie Labno (Anthem, Ariz.) finished the cross this time. Labno rounded out the scoring with an assist from Scarlett Frohardt (Queen Creek, Ariz.) to make the final score 6-0.
In goal for the Embry-Riddle, Annabelle Ruckle (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Lucy Hayward (Torrance, Calif.) combined for the shutout.
The Eagles are home again next week as they take on Cal-State University Maritime on Friday night at 5pm for Senior Night.
