Box Score Prescott, AZ .- Embry-Riddle Men's Soccer was back home on Saturday night and after a delayed start due to lighting, ERAU was able to beat the Mountaineers 3-0.
The action began in the 22nd minute when Embry Riddle's Alex Frances (Valencia, Spain) found the back of the net, giving his team the early lead. The goal came from Aviad Golan (Tel Aviv, Israel) providing a great cross that Frances put into the back of the net. Lucas Garcia (Barcelona, Spain) headed another one in for Embry Riddle's off another Golan assist, extending their lead in the 78th minute. Shortly after, Cameron Kovats (Issaquah, Wash.) claimed one more goal for the Eagles in the 84th minute to seal the victory.
The Embry-Riddle backline held Eastern Oregon to just six shots during the game and to only two on goal as ERAU goalkeeper Daniele Cerbini (Perugia, Italy) made the saves to keep the clean sheet.
Embry-Riddle travels to California next as they open Cal Pac play at Westcliff on Thursday with kickoff set for 4pm.
