Box Score Lucas Garcia (Barcelona, Spain) scored the second and third goals for Embry-Riddle in Angwin as they beat the Pacific Union Pioneers 5-1 today.
Francesco Busini (Velletri, Rome, Italy) got the scoring started early for the Eagles as he scored from 25 yards out on a Garcia assist. Just five minutes later, the Pioneers were whistled for a dangerous foul just outside the penalty area. Garcia stepped up to take the kick and bent it into the far side of the goal to give ERAU the 2-0 lead. In the 23rd minute Brandon Pulido-Santala (Westminster, Colo.) played a great ball into Garcia who was able to put the ball into the back of the net for Embry-Riddle.
Pacific Union's Anthony Arochi got the Pioneers on the board in the 29th minute to make it a 3-1 Eagle lead, but Aviad Golan (Tel Aviv, Israel) got the goal back for Embry-Riddle and the Eagles took a 4-1 lead into halftime.
In the second half, ERAU took five shots on goal, but only Jakob Radgowski (Malmo, Sweden) was able to beat the keeper as he finished an Alex Frances (Valencia, Spain) pass in the 76th minute.
Elias Ammon (Bremen, Germany) was credited with eight saves as the Embry-Riddle goalkeeper.
The Eagles will play again on Saturday against Simpson University in Redding to finish off their road trip
