Embry-Riddle Starts Cal Pac Play 1-0

Irvine, Calif. - In a battle of the two teams that were in the 2022 Cal Pac Tournament Championship, Embry-Riddle was able to beat Westcliff tonight 2-0. 

ERAU controlled the game from start to finish as they took 17 shots during the 90 minutes and had 11 corner kicks. The first goal of the game came from last year's Cal Pac Player of the Year, Rae Yoshioka (Pearl City, Hawaii).  Katelyn Kelch (Tucson, Ariz.) played the ball into Jamie Black (Tucson, Ariz.) who flicked it onto Yoshioka who was able to find the back of the net in the 24th minute.   

In the 42nd minute Aryanna Sanchez (Tucson, Ariz.) drove up the right side of the field and launched a shot on frame that beat the Warrior keeper as it hit off the crossbar and down into the goal. 

Annabelle Ruckle (Phoenix, Ariz.) finished with two saves in the goal for the Eagles. 

Embry-Riddle plays next on Saturday in Lancaster as they take on Antelope Valley with kickoff at 11AM.
