Box Score Irvine, Calif. - In an early matchup of top Cal Pac teams, Westcliff was able to come out on top 2-1 over Embry-Riddle tonight in a physical match.
The Warriors scored in the 14th minute on a penalty kick after an ERAU player was called for a handball in the penalty area. Playing with only 10 men from the 14th minute on, Embry-Riddle kept battling and tied the game on a Lucas Garcia (Barcelona, Spain) goal with the assist coming from Roei Nir (Tel Aviv, Israel) in the 49th minute.
Westcliff scored a goal in the 69th minute and was able to hold on for the win. In goal for the Eagles was Elias Ammon (Bremen, Germany) who made six saves on the night.
ERAU is back in action on Saturday as they take on Antelope Valley in Lancaster at 1:30pm.
