Box Score Lancaster, Calif. - On a hot day in Lancaster, Embry-Riddle Men's soccer was able to come back from down 1-0 to beat the University of Antelope Valley 4-2.
UAV scored early on a penalty kick in the 31st minute but only 15 seconds later, Alex Frances (Valencia, Spain) tied the game up 1-1 as Aviad Golan (Tel Aviv, Israel) played him a great ball in. At the half, the score was tied 1-1.
Luke Thomas (Wauwatosa, Wisc.) scored to open up the second half and give the Eagles a 2-1 lead. The Pioneers did not back down though as they were awarded another penalty kick for a hand ball in the box in the 69th minute. In the 76th minute Jakob Radgowski (Malmo, Sweden) scored the game winner for ERAU after he followed up a shot that the goalkeeper bobbled. Embry-Riddle benefited from a Pioneer miscue defensively to give the Eagles an insurance goal and make the score 4-2.
In goal for Embry-Riddle, Daniele Cerbini (Perugia, Italy) had six saves on the afternoon.
ERAU plays next at home on Thursday night against the University of Saint Katherine's with the game beginning at 7:30pm.
