Embry-Riddle won the OUAZ Fall Invitational hosted at Sterling Golf & CC in Surprise on Monday and Tuesday by one stroke. The Eagles had team scores of 296, 309, and 305 for a three round total of 910.
For the second tournament in a row,
Kaetlin Halseth (Kingwood, Texas) led the way. Halseth finished second overall, just three strokes behind the winner. She had scores of 68, 79, and 71.
Charlotte Giffin (Woodinville, Wash.),
Libby Axen (Tucson, Ariz.) and
Maisy Alsen (Gilbert, Ariz.) all finished in a tie for 8th place. Giffin shot a 74 in the first round, a 78 in the second, and finished the event with an 80. Axen started with a 74 then had an 80, and shot 78 in the last round. Alsen had scores of 81, 74, and 77 as they all finished with a three round total of 232.
Olivia Zamarripa (Albuquerque, New Mexico) was 15th. Zamarripa finished her three rounds +21 with scores of 80, 78, and 79.
Nicole Ikeda (Honolulu, Hawaii) came in 21st place and had scores of 81, 78, and 86 for ERAU.
Embry-Riddle will golf next in Prescott at the ERAU Fall Invitational hosted at Antelope Hills and Capital Canyon Club.
