Embry-Riddle fell to Hope International on Saturday evening 2-0 in Irvine, Calif. at theOC Great Park.  With the loss, the Eagles will be the #3 seed at the upcoming GSAC Men's Soccer Tournament.  

Despite a solid defensive performance in the first half that saw the scoreboard remain unaltered at 0-0, the Eagles were unable to fend off the attacking thrusts of the Royals in the latter stages of the game.

Hope International secured their victory in the closing minutes through goals by Gonzalo Diaz and Sebastian Ramirez. Diaz broke the deadlock in the 78th minute of the contest, with an assist provided by Uriel Sanchez, tilting the momentum in favor of the Royals. Ramirez then sealed the deal for Hope International near the end of the game, once again assisted by Sanchez. The Eagles' goalkeeper, Elias Ammon (Bremen, Germany), put up a formidable performance with 8 saves from 10 shots faced during the entire 90 minutes of play, but it wasn't enough to ward off the late rally by the Royals.

Embry-Riddle will head to the #2 seed, The Master's University for a 1pm game on Saturday afternoon.
