Embry-Riddle won their first game of the 2024-2025 season with a 72-57 win over the Nobel University Knights in the Activity Center on Monday evening.
From the beginning, the Eagles set a dominant pace, heading into halftime with a substantial lead of 43-20. The standout player,
Noah Gifft (Surprise, Ariz.), led the scoring for Embry-Riddle with 19 points, contributing notably with 6 rebounds and 2 steals. His performance was crucial in maintaining the team's momentum throughout the game. Teammates
Peter Dress (Kennewick, Wash.) and
Christian Wells (Frisco, Texas) each added 10 points and combined for 10 rebounds, further anchoring the team's success.
A key moment in the game was when Embry-Riddle established their largest lead of 27 points early in the second period, a significant margin that demoralized the Nobel team and effectively sealed the game.
