ERAU Moves to 1-1 in GSAC

Embry-Riddle won 2-0 over Life Pacific University on Saturday afternoon in Azusa, Calif. to earn the teams first GSAC win and move to 1-1 in the conference.

The Eagles dominated the first half, maintaining consistent pressure on the Warriors' defense. The breakthrough came at the 31:06 mark when Aleksandar Mihajlovic (Belgrade, Serbia) scored the opening goal, giving Embry-Riddle a 1-0 lead. Despite several attempts from Life Pacific, including a notable save by Embry-Riddle's goalkeeper Elias Ammon (Bremen, Germany) at 19:56, the Warriors couldn't find the back of the net.

The second half saw continued efforts from both teams, but it was Embry-Riddle who capitalized again. At 72:11, Nitai Bental (Shoham, Israel) extended the lead to 2-0 with an assist from Riley Timko (Ellensburg, Wash.). Life Pacific's goalkeeper Caleb Moreno made several crucial saves throughout the match, including a penalty kick save at 52:45, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide.

Embry-Riddle's tactical play and solid defense were key to their victory, showcasing their potential as the season progresses. The Eagles will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches.

The Eagles will host OUAZ on Wednesday night with kickoff scheduled for 7:30pm on Varsity Field.
