Embry-Riddle faced a tough challenge against the Arizona Christian Firestorm on Thursday evening, at the Activity Center. Despite a strong start, the Eagles were unable to maintain their momentum, ultimately falling 85-59.
First Half Highlights
The Eagles started the game with energy and determination, taking an early lead. Peter Dress was a standout performer, scoring 14 points in the first half and grabbing 5 rebounds. Embry-Riddle led by as much as 7 points early in the first half, but Arizona Christian fought back to take a 37-32 lead into halftime.
Second Half Struggles
The second half proved challenging for the Eagles as Arizona Christian's defense tightened. The Firestorm outscored Embry-Riddle 48-27 in the second half, pulling away with a dominant performance. The Eagles struggled with turnovers, committing 17 in total, which Arizona Christian capitalized on, scoring 26 points off turnovers.

Despite the loss, the Eagles showed moments of strong team play. They shot 42% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc. However, Arizona Christian's 59.7% shooting from the field and 58 points in the paint proved too much to overcome.
Embry-Riddle will play again on Saturday when the Spirit of OUAZ visitn Prescott for a 4:30pm tip off. Â
