Embry-Riddle Falls to Life Pacific in Four-Set Battle

Embry-Riddle put up a fight on the road Friday night but ultimately fell to Life Pacific in four sets (18-25, 25-14, 17-25, 23-25) at Mehl Court in San Dimas, California.

Despite a strong second-set performance that saw the Eagles dominate with a .333 hitting percentage and an 11-1 kill-to-error ratio, inconsistency plagued the team across the other frames. Embry-Riddle finished the match with a .130 hitting percentage, tallying 45 kills and 27 errors on 138 total attempts.

Hannah Clear led the offensive charge with 11 kills on 15 attempts, hitting an impressive .667 and contributing 12 points. Brooke Eglinton added 10 kills and 12.5 points, while Anela Chew chipped in 10 kills and 11 points.

Setter Alice Tuci orchestrated the offense with 39 assists and added 12 digs and 2 service aces. Libero Alexis Creager anchored the back row with a team-high 15 digs.

Defensively, Haeden Baker and Emma Barber combined for 7 block assists, helping the Eagles slow down Life Pacific's attack. Barber also contributed 9 kills and 9 points.

The Eagles showed resilience in the fourth set, battling to a close 23-25 finish, but couldn't overcome Life Pacific's balanced attack led by Kendal Collins (13 kills, .303 hitting) and Jocelyn Hernandez (10 kills, .222 hitting).

ERAU will have a quick turn around as the Eagles will play at Hope International on Saturday with first serve scheduled for 1pm.
