In a high-octane NAIA Women's Soccer Semifinal at Ashton Brosnaham Stadium, Embry-Riddle (20-1-3) battled fiercely but came up just short against Keiser, falling 4–3 in a match that featured seven goals and relentless momentum swings.
The Eagles conceded an early goal to Keiser's Luisa Fontes in the 7th minute. Senior forward Jamie Black equalized in the 15th minute, finishing a cross from Jamie Brandon to make it 1–1. Embry-Riddle seized the lead before halftime when Molly Newlin unleashed a stunning 30-yard strike in the 43rd minute, sending the Eagles into the break up 2–1.
The second half turned into a rollercoaster. Keiser's attack surged with three goals in a four-minute span—two from Lauren Riley and one from Maria Vilhena—to flip the score to 4–2 by the 72nd minute. Despite the setback, Embry-Riddle refused to quit. Brandon headed home a cross from Kari Kasun, assisted by Newlin, in the 86th minute to cut the deficit to one. The Eagles pressed hard in the closing moments, including a near miss off the post by Black, but couldn't find the equalizer.
Embry-Riddle finished with nine shots (six on goal) and three corner kicks, while Keiser tallied 14 shots and four corners. Goalkeeper Aubrianne Dupre recorded three saves for ERAU.
