ERAU's Defense Stands Strong in 3rd Straight Win

Embry-Riddle held Benedictine Mesa to 15 first half points on their way to a 66-45 win in Mesa on Wednesday evening for their 3rd straight GSAC win.  

First Quarter Dominance Embry-Riddle set the tone early, outscoring Benedictine Mesa 25-7 in the first quarter. Mehgan Strickler led the charge with three three-pointers, contributing to her total of 14 points for the game. The Eagles' defense was equally impressive, limiting the Redhawks to just three field goals in the opening period.

Maintaining the Lead The Eagles continued their strong performance in the second quarter, extending their lead to 39-15 by halftime. Kate McBride and Zakiirah King were instrumental in this effort, with McBride scoring 6 points and King adding 9 points and 9 rebounds. The team's aggressive rebounding and defensive pressure kept Benedictine Mesa at bay.

Balanced Attack Throughout the game, Embry-Riddle showcased a balanced offensive attack. Abby Dean and Jordyn Smith provided valuable contributions off the bench, scoring 8 and 10 points respectively. The Eagles' bench outscored the Redhawks' bench 30-9, highlighting the depth of the team.
