Embry-Riddle won their 4th straight game as the Eagles beat Dickinson State on Monday at Eagle Baseball Field 12-7.
Early Lead for Embry-Riddle
Embry-Riddle started strong, scoring three runs in the first inning. James Warren singled to right field, followed by a passed ball that advanced him to second. Sawyer Amato walked, and despite Owen Cain grounding into a double play, Warren advanced to third. Roberto Garza-Nunez then singled to center field, bringing Warren home. After a hit-by-pitch and a walk, Kaden Menard singled to left field, driving in two more runs.
Dickinson State's Response
Dickinson State struggled initially but found their rhythm in the fourth inning as the Blue Hawks scored four runs.
Embry-Riddle's Dominance
The Eagles dominated the third inning, scoring seven runs. Cain tripled to right field, followed by a single from Garza-Nunez. Errors and a home run by Fernando Perez-Ortega added to Dickinson State's woes. The Eagles continued to capitalize on their opponent's mistakes, with doubles from Gavin Speck and Caden Truman driving in more runs.
Embry-Riddle will head to Utah to play Utah Valley this week with the first game on the series happening on Friday at 5:00pm.
