Vanessa Brink pitched a gem on Tuesday afternoon in San Antonio, but Middle Georgia State was able to hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 9th inning to center field as the Knights won 1-0 over the Eagles.
It was a true pitchers duel between Brink and the Middle Georgia State pitcher, Emily Proctor. Brink scattered seven hits throughout the nine innings as the Knights left eight runners on base. Proctor only gave up three hits, but five Eagles were walked as ERAU left seven on base.
Autumn Sulusi, Leah Salas, and
Lily Anderson each had a hit for the Eagles.
Embry-Riddle's season will come to a close and the Eagles will return to the field next Spring.
