Embry-Riddle returned to form Friday evening with a commanding 3-1 win over Life Pacific at home, improving to 7-6 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Eagles bounced back from a narrow second-set loss to dominate the final two sets, securing the victory with scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, and 25-14.
Senior outside hitter Emma Barber led the charge with a standout performance, tallying 19 kills on 37 attempts with a stellar .405 hitting percentage, while also contributing 14 digs and 19 total points. Her consistency at the net and in the back row anchored the Eagles throughout the match.
Setter Alice Tuci orchestrated the offense with precision, dishing out 37 assists and adding 10 digs, while Brooke Eglinton and Hannah Clear added offensive firepower with 10 and 7 kills, respectively. Clear also made her presence felt at the net with 4 total blocks.
Embry-Riddle's defense was equally impressive, racking up 65 digs and 14 total blocks. Libero Alexis Creager led the backcourt with 18 digs, helping to neutralize Life Pacific's attack, which was held to a .027 hitting percentage across the match.
The Eagles showed their depth and balance, with Anela Chew contributing 8 kills and 9.5 points, and Haeden Baker adding 6 points through a mix of kills and blocks.
